WHO and Doris Mollel Foundation sign MoU in Geneva

We are proud to share that the Doris Mollel Foundation has signed a memorandum of understanding with the World Health Organization's Department of Sexual, Reproductive, Maternal, Child, Adolescent and Ageing Health (LHR) to strengthen collaboration on the health and survival of small and sick newborns, particularly in Africa, but also globally.

This agreement establishes a framework for joint advocacy, evidence generation and strategic communications. Planned areas of cooperation include advocacy alongside regional and global platforms such as the African Union and the African First Ladies Development Organization, research and documentation of effective models of newborn care, and coordinated communications around key global health observances, including World Prematurity Day.

The MoU was signed in Geneva, Switzerland by Dr Jeremy Farrar, WHO Assistant Director-General for Health Promotion, Disease Prevention and Care, on behalf of WHO and Doris Mollel, Founder and Executive Director, Doris Mollel Foundation, on behalf of DMF.

For us, this partnership reflects the strength of locally led, community-driven approaches to improving health outcomes and the value WHO places on them. We are grateful for WHO's confidence, and to every partner and supporter who has brought us to this point.
