President Samia Hosts Doris Mollel Foundation and its Delegation at State House Following Kwimba NCU Launch

President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, met with the Doris Mollel Foundation Board, led by Chair of the Board Dr. Robert Moshiro and Executive Director Ms. Doris Mollel, and delegation at the State House in Dar es Salaam on March 1, 2026.
The meeting came a day after the official launch of the first standard Neonatal Care Unit at Kwimba District Hospital in Mwanza Region, built by the Doris Mollel Foundation. The delegation included Deputy Minister of Health, Hon. Dr. Florence Samizi, Antonio Ruiz-Giménez Jr., CEO of Keep A Child Alive (KCA), and his team, who were in the country for the inauguration.
This was the second time in two days that President Dr. Samia engaged with DMF on the milestone. On February 27, 2026, the President congratulated the Foundation for the construction of the Kwimba NCU during discussions with Ms. Mollel, who was then accompanied by a World Health Organization delegation led by the WHO Regional Director for Africa, Professor Mohamed Janabi.
